Ongoing fundraising efforts for NMI’s participation in the Pacific Jam 2026 in Guam will continue next Saturday, March 14, with a one-day beach volleyball tournament set for 8am to 5pm at the Crowne Plaza beach-side courts.

Organized by national indoor and beach volleyball player Jermaine Salas, the 2v2 fundraiser will help cover his travel expenses for the 2026 Pacific Jam ProAm, scheduled for March 20-22 at Jimmy Dee’s in Guam. The regional event will feature professional and amateur teams from Palau, Saipan, Japan, Malaysia, Yap, Fiji, Pohnpei and the U.S.

The March 14 tournament is open to men’s and women’s divisions, with a $30 entry fee per team. Registration closes Friday, March 13. All proceeds will go directly toward Salas’ travel costs.

The Pacific Jam ProAm will include 2x2 men’s and women’s open divisions with cash prizes, along with business/family, competitive middle school, high school boys and girls, and coed categories.

Another indoor volleyball national team player, Erika Zandueta and Jasmine John, are also raising funds for her trip to compete in the Pacific Jam. They are selling custom NMI jerseys featuring a clean white base, blue island accents, and a subtle floral pattern. The deadline to order is on March 16.
