Dr. Norma Ada will be a full-time VA primary care physician on Saipan.

Dr. Ada made the announcement on social media, sharing that Medical Associates of the Pacific, LLC will remain open as she scales down her practice of more than 20 years.

“This decision came after many long conversations with my family and with the staff who are the heartbeat of our clinic. For the past several months I have shared this news with many of you and the time has come,” Dr. Ada said.

She noted that the clinic will be closed from October 30 to November 3 as they make the important move to the new location on the first floor of the MH-1 Building, which is the building next door to the current location.

She added, “I take real comfort in knowing you’ll be in good hands.”

Dr. Ada said Nurse Practitioners Shawna Brennfleck and Lucy Liu Pangelinan will continue their dedicated care and Dr. Felix Cabrera will be seeing patients on a limited schedule. MAP Clinic will also continue to offer the services of Dr. Angela Mister, the island’s only audiologist, and Jessica D. Willsey, a registered dietician and nutritionist.

Dr. Ada said, “Over the past two decades, I have had the privilege of being part of this community’s life in ways I never take lightly—welcoming your babies, sitting with you through loss, watching your kids grow up, and trying to be steady when things got hard. That trust has meant more to me than I can easily put into words. I know goodbyes like this are never simple, especially after so many years together. But I want you to know the standard of care this island deserves, the care you’ve always deserved, is not changing. That much I can promise. Thank you for the privilege of being your doctor.”
