The Republican Party of the Northern Mariana Islands Association (RPNMIA) recently announced a transition in leadership after President Joseph “Lee Pan” T. Guerrero resigned.

Mr. Guerrero's resignation was based on personal reasons, and the RPNMIA Board of Directors approved his resignation, conveying its extensive gratitude for his leadership and dedication over the past years of service to the Republican Party.

Following Mr. Guerrero’s resignation, First Vice President Patricia Rasa was intended to be next in line to assume the duties of President. However, Ms. Rasa declined due to health and personal reasons.

After an official vote, the RPNMIA Board of Directors designated Patrick Cepeda as the new President of the Republican Party of the Northern Mariana Islands, which will be effective immediately.

The board expressed its faith in Mr. Cepeda. They said he has been a long-standing member of the Republican Party.

Collectively, the current Board of Directors of the RPNMIA stands as: Patrick Cepeda - President, Patricia Rasa - First Vice President, Vacant - Second Vice President, Irene Holl - Secretary, and Melvin Faisao - Treasurer.
