Kiyoshi: CEC remains open, accessible, and accountable

As the 2026 General Election nears, Commonwealth Election Commission member Jose Kiyoshi promises the public that the election will be fair, transparent, and conducted with the highest level of integrity.
“The Commonwealth Election Commission, together with our dedicated Election Office staff, has been working diligently to ensure that every eligible voter has access to the ballot and that every vote is counted accurately and honestly. Safeguarding the democratic process is not just our responsibility it is our duty to you, the people of the CNMI,” he said in a post on social media.
He added, “As we continue to expand and improve access to voting across our islands, I respectfully ask for your partnership. If at any time you feel that the CNMI Election Office has not met your expectations or has fallen short of your trust, please let us know immediately. Your feedback is critical. It allows us to respond, improve, and uphold the standards that our community deserves.”
Kiyoshi is a commissioner from Tinian alongside John D. Attao.

He added, “On Election Day and beyond, let us stand united not by politics, but by our shared commitment to the integrity of our democratic process.”
