PH Consulate in Guam rolls out e-Visa across Micronesia
The Philippine Consulate General in Guam has rolled out the Philippine electronic visa system across Micronesia, allowing eligible residents of the CNMI, Guam, Palau, the Marshall Islands, and the Federated States of Micronesia to apply online for visas for temporary visits to the Philippines.
The Philippine Consulate General in Agana said the e-Visa system took effect Aug. 10, 2026, in the five Pacific jurisdictions.
Under the new system, eligible residents planning temporary visits to the Philippines may submit their visa applications online through the Philippine government's official e-Visa website at evisa.gov.ph.
Once approved and issued by the Philippine Consulate General in Agana, the e-Visa can be accessed remotely through a computer, laptop, or mobile device.
Travelers may present the e-Visa in either digital or printed form, meaning it will no longer be physically affixed to their passports.
The consulate also reminded e-Visa holders to complete the Philippines' online e-Travel registration only after their e-Visa has been issued and within 72 hours before departure.
The consulate said following that sequence will help travelers avoid difficulties at Philippine ports of entry.
The e-Visa is intended for temporary visits and cannot be converted to another type of visa. The authorized period of stay also cannot be extended.
Foreign nationals traveling to the Philippines for studies, employment, or other non-tourism purposes must instead apply for a regular visa sticker through the Philippine Consulate General in Agana.
