Relief Supplies From Across the U.S. Arrive at Typhoon Support Logistics Center
Recovery efforts in the CNMI continue as donation containers arrive at the Typhoon Support Logistics Center in Middle Road yesterday. The first container was filled with contents from Las Vegas, Nevada, Southern California, Arizona, and Colorado, with the two other containers from Oregon and Washington, along with shipments from Arizona, Idaho, Colorado, Missouri, and other states across the U.S.
Similar to the container from Hawai’i in May, volunteer groups will be responding to requests and working with nonprofit organizations with the CNMI Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD), as well as callers from the helpline.
MP’s Leigh Gases was on scene as volunteers opened the first out of three containers that arrived and began sorting supplies for direct distribution to communities still recovering from the storm.
