Rota’s long awaited tent program began on Wednesday as members of the Rota Mayor’s Office, the Department of Fire and Emergency Management Services, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the CNMI Emergency Operations Center erect tents for those who have applied. According to Rota Mayor’s Office Public Information Officer Lou Rosario, the program continues to primarily target shelterees to allow them to return to their homes.
Rosario adds that the application process is still open, with approximately 90 tents on island and about 71 applicants to date.
