Rota Lions Club (RLC) held a distribution event at Puesto Annex in SongSong Village, Rota, over the weekend. Sparked by a humanitarian grant out of the Lions Club International Foundation, the RLC was able to serve 328 families who were impacted by Super Typhoon Bavi.

RLC President Jesi Calvo shared with MP that it was through the efforts of Club District Governor Lion Eden Mercado, who pursued the humanitarian grant and ensured its success, and Grant Chairperson Club First Vice District Governor Lion Mar Masilungan, who coordinated and helped execute the distribution.

Calvo extends her sincere appreciation to the collaborative effort by all her fellow Lions, to the Department of Public Safety, volunteers, partners, and supporters whose joint mission brought relief aid to families of Rota.

“Together, we continue to live the Lions motto: We Serve”, said Calvo.
