Saipan volunteers help clear Rota’s roadways after Super Typhoon Bavi

A 16 person team from the Department of Public Works Saipan volunteers to help clear out the main highways on Rota to ensure access for residents.

On Saturday, DPW Secretary Ray Yumul told MP that his crew was all volunteers, including a heavy equipment operator.

He adds that as soon as the main roads are cleared, his team, along with Rota’s DPW, will begin to assess the needs of the secondary roadways. He cautions residents of the rough road conditions and urges drivers to remain mindful.
