School community celebrates Chamorro and Carolinian Cultural Heritage Month
The CNMI State Board of Education and Public School System have officially proclaimed September as Chamorro and Carolinian Cultural Heritage Month.
The annual observance celebrates the history, language and traditions of the indigenous peoples of the Northern Mariana Islands, while honoring their lasting impact on the islands’ identity. PSS is inviting the community to take part in events throughout the month to celebrate, learn and preserve Chamorro and Carolinian heritage.
