Termination of Price Freeze for Saipan and Tinian and Continuation of Freeze for Rota

Governor David M. Apatang has issued Executive Order No. 2026-019, terminating the price freeze on the islands of Saipan and Tinian while continuing the price freeze on Rota.

The order recognizes the progress made in restoring critical infrastructure, reopening businesses, and resuming economic activity on Saipan and Tinian following Super Typhoon Sinlaku. The price freeze remains in effect for Rota due to the ongoing recovery from Super Typhoon Bavi and continued impacts to homes, essential services, and critical infrastructure.

The price freeze for Rota will remain in effect until it is rescinded or the state of significant emergency for Typhoon Bavi is terminated as to Rota.
