CNMI DOC Commissioner Anthony Torres informs staff and Governor Apatang of plans to resign

CNMI Department of Corrections Commissioner Anthony Torres has informed his staff and Governor David Apatang of his plans to resign.

In a separate social media post this morning after yesterday’s opening of Guma’ Diniseha, Torres said, “Almost four years ago, I never imagined the journey our NMIDOC would take. We’ve restored institutional trust, modernized our systems, expanded treatment and education, cracked down on corruption and given the Northern Mariana Islands a real seat at the national table. And when Super Typhoons Sinlaku and Bavi hit, our staff and participants showed what limited resources and unlimited heart look like. Governor Apatang, thank you for believing in this vision.”
