Pepoy’s Café & Restaurant has temporarily closed its doors to undertake repairs, renovations, and general upgrades, with owner Malou Malasarte saying the longtime restaurant plans to return with a refreshed space for customers and employees.

The restaurant is located in Susupe along Beach Road, across from Saipan World Resort.

Malasarte said the temporary closure began in August, but the restaurant is not yet setting a reopening date.

“After several years of serving our community, we felt that the space needed some updating, repairs, and improvements to make it more comfortable, efficient, and enjoyable for our customers and our staff,” Malasarte told Marianas Press.

She said management wants to complete all repairs, renovations, and other preparations before announcing when Pepoy’s will reopen.

The renovation includes repairs to typhoon-related damage, restoration of affected areas, and general upgrades to the restaurant.

When it reopens, Malasarte said Pepoy’s plans to bring back familiar favorites while considering additions to its menu and special promotions.

“We are looking forward to bringing back our customers’ favorite Pepoy’s dishes while also considering some new menu offerings and reopening specials,” she said.

Malasarte thanked customers, friends, and supporters for their patience and continued support during the temporary closure, describing Pepoy’s as more than simply a restaurant but a gathering place for families and friends.

She said the closure is part of the restaurant’s effort to return “better and stronger” after challenges that included Super Typhoon Sinlaku.

“We look forward to opening our doors again soon and welcoming you back to a refreshed Pepoy’s Café & Restaurant. See you soon!” Malasarte said.
