Rota Mayor’s Office hosts another sp-egg-tacular Easter for all

From the man hoben to the man amko’, Rota’s leaders, local department heads and community stakeholders execute another flawless Easter for Rota. Starting with an egg hunt at Tun Kindo Baseball Field on Monday and then another at the Rota Aging Center on Tuesday, Rota Mayor’s Office (MOR) Staff have been busy starting off the spring season for Rota. Rota Mayor Aubry M. Hocog shares with MP, “It was wonderful to see so many families come together with their smiles and laughter as participants enjoyed not only the egg hunt, but also the variety of games prepared for our people of all ages.” According to the mayor, there were about 2,000 eggs hidden, with monetary and toy prizes to give away. However MOR went above and beyond this year, also introducing a variety of games like the Bamboo Slide and Sack Races for the Man Hoben on Monday and then a Bingo Black Out for the Man Amko’ the following day.
At the community egg hunt at Tun Kindo Baseball Field, there were 6 different age categories. 1-3, 4-6, 7-10, 11-14, 15-18 and even 18 and above. Meanwhile, at the Rota Aging Center on Tuesday Mayor Hocog stated, “We held our Man Amko program this morning as well, as it was a beautiful opportunity for our Man Amko’ to laugh and enjoy themselves with the thrill of egg hunting. I had my staff accompany them while hunting to ensure their safety. It was truly an easter for participants of all ages.
Mayor Hocog thanks all those who contributed to Rota’s sp-egg-tacular Easter, “I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of our generous donors including my office, Senator Donald Manglona, Senator Ron Calvo, Congresswoman Julie Ogo, 20th Rota Municipal Council, All Government Resident Department Heads, For Luta from Luta, Rota Childcare Group, Danny King, and WIA. Without their contributions, our event would not have been successful.”
Although the initial Easter Egg Hunt was postponed due to poor weather conditions the week before, MOR pulls off a fun-filled, sunny Easter for the island of Rota. Mayor Hocog adds, “Most importantly, I want to recognize and thank my incredible staff. Their hard work, dedication, and commitment behind the scenes ensured that this event was a success from start to finish. I am deeply appreciative of their efforts and proud of what we continue to accomplish together for the people of Rota.
