SHS: Dog's Ears Chopped Off

Full statement from Saipan Humane Society board president Lauren Cabrera:

"This puppy greeted a good samaritan outside of Trench Tech last night and they were horrified to notice that it’s ears had been apparently chopped off.

They had seen the puppy last week normal ears - so what happened? This was clearly an intentional act. We are extremely concerned that somebody capable of doing such a cruel thing is living in our community. Just knowing a bit about veterinary care, I can only imagine the amount of screaming and blood that was involved with the act of forcefully restraining a puppy and cutting their ears off. A report to DPS will be made by the finder of the puppy.

If you know anything about this incident, please speak up. Those who intentionally hurt animals are statistically proven to be more likely to cause harm to vulnerable humans - including children and elderly. Let’s keep our community safe."
