The line at Rota's lone water station builds as residents get limited access to water post-Super Typhoon Bavi
The line at the island’s lone water station is starting to build up as residents get limited access to water post-Super Typhoon Bavi.
According to CUC, a water filling station is now available for customers on Rota. The filling station is located in the Ginalangan area at the Sinapalo II Water Tank.
CUC said due to the limited water supply, customers may fill clean containers up to a maximum of 25 gallons per person. The water filling station will remain open until the water supply runs out. Customers are encouraged to bring clean containers and conserve water as much as possible during this time.
Meanwhile, a Boil Water Notice also remains in effect for the island of Rota as of Sunday, July 5, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. Customers are advised not to drink the water without boiling it first. Bring all water to a rolling boil for at least three (3) minutes, then let it cool before using.
