CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management Office Monitoring Invest 92W
The CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management Office (CNMI HSEM), in coordination with the National Weather Service – Guam, is closely monitoring a tropical disturbance designated as Invest 92W currently located in Eastern Micronesia near the Marshall Islands.
At this time, Invest 92W remains a broad, weak, and disorganized system with no defined center of circulation. Current assessments indicate that development, if any, is expected to be gradual.
While the disturbance is generally moving west-northwest toward the Mariana Islands, there is still significant uncertainty regarding its future development, track, and potential impacts. Some weather models suggest the possibility of gradual organization later this week.
Given these uncertainties, CNMI HSEM emphasizes that now is not the time for alarm, but rather for awareness and readiness. Residents are encouraged to:
* Stay informed through official updates from CNMI HSEM and the National Weather Service
* Review basic emergency plans and supplies
* Monitor weather conditions over the coming days
Additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
