It’s day 2 two Palmyra. Surveying sihek territory at first light continues. We’re back with Tatiana Ananich, Bird Conservation Assistant with The Nature Conservancy and the Zoological Society of London, and Kayla Baker, Senior Bird Conservation Specialist. As we search for more of the nine Guam Sihek released here in 2024.

After two hours exploring their territory, we spot a pair of sihek and capture a rare moment on camera — two sihek mating in the wild.
