Innovative Readiness Training program visits Rota

On January 07, 2026, The Hon. Mayor Aubry M. Hocog recently met with military representatives for a courtesy visit to talk about plans for the next Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) program, joining the meeting MOR Chief Dean Reynold Manglona and MOR Special Assistant for Military Affairs and Homeland Security Ivan Mereb.
The IRT team is here to plan ahead and gather feedback on past IRT programs, including what went well and what could be improved. Mayor Hocog shared feedback she has heard from community members. She also recommended additional needed services for animal livestock, stray dogs, optometry and dental care.
They also discussed about offering an educational presentation or program during the IRT period when they're here, where the IRT team can talk with children and families about ways to better take care of their health. Other discussions went over ways to encourage more community members to take part in the program and on general logistics.
The IRT program is expected to take place around the end of July or sometime in August. Mayor Hocog thanked the team for taking the time to meet and for their continued support of the Rota community.
