LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort is pleased to announce the reopening of limited golf operations beginning June 6, 2026, marking an important milestone in the resort’s ongoing recovery following Typhoon Sinlaku.

Originally expected to reopen later this summer, the resort has accelerated its timeline in response to strong community support and a desire to contribute to the recovery of Saipan’s tourism and recreation industries.

Beginning June 6, golf operations will be available every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. During this initial phase, play will be limited to an 18-hole layout consisting of West Course Holes 10–18 and East Course Holes 10–18. Additional holes and services will be restored and reopened as recovery efforts continue.

Throughout the recovery period, LaoLao Bay has maintained weekend driving range operations despite ongoing infrastructure challenges. The reopening of golf operations represents the first phase of the resort’s broader recovery plan and an important step toward restoring normal recreational and tourism activities on the island.

The resort continues to face a reduced golf cart inventory due to storm-related damage, flooding, and battery failures caused by the prolonged island-wide power outage. To maximize availability and maintain efficient course operations, single-player rounds and five-player groups will not be permitted during the initial reopening period.

To improve convenience for golfers, LaoLao Bay is also introducing online tee time reservations through its official website and the Chrono Golf reservation platform, available via both web and mobile application. The platform is already utilized by Coral Ocean Resort Golf Course, providing golfers with a familiar and streamlined booking experience across multiple golf facilities on Saipan.

“The road to full recovery remains a long one, but reopening golf operations is an important milestone for both our resort and the community,” said a resort representative. “We are grateful for the patience, encouragement, and support we have received and look forward to welcoming golfers back to LaoLao Bay.”

LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort currently remains committed to preserving jobs and supporting the local economy while restoration efforts continue. Additional updates regarding course availability, resort services, and operating schedules will be announced as recovery progresses.
