Sarah Faegre, Primary Investigator for the University of Washington’s Aga Recovery Program, shares the progress of the Mariana Crow on Rota. We visited one of two release sites on Luta today. The program under UW started 20 years ago and now the Marianas Crow population has grown close to 300 from just 170. She said the next steps are translocation to create a second population on another island. They are considering a site in the Northern Islands as the second location. However, the historic progress now faces funding challenges.
