More than 300 people in shelters across CNMI

More than 300 people remain at shelters across the Northern Mariana Islands, according to the Joint Information Center.

They report that 21 adults and 11 children are at the Aging Center on Rota while 19 adults and 10 children are seeking shelter at the Dr. Rita H. Inos Jr./Sr. High School after the island took a direct hit.

On Tinian, 24 people are seeking shelter at the elementary school.

On Saipan, 68 people are at Marianas High School, 66 at Koblerville Elementary School, 27 at Kagman High School, and 46 at Marianas High School’s second cafeteria. 55 people are taking shelter at Garapan Elementary School while 22 are at the Kagman Community Center.
