Saipan residents charged in Kmart theft

Four Saipan residents were charged in Superior Court of Guam related to allegations of retail theft at Kmart on Guam.
According to court documents filed today, Francisco Tuwun Jr., Dominique T. Calvo, Eloise Rose Lopez, and Dhalian A. Salas face charges including retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft on March 31, 2026.
“Salas stated to Officers that she and the other defendants came to Guam to celebrate her birthday. She stated that defendants were short on money and, earlier that day, came up with a plan to steal items from Kmart. Salas stated that defendants’ plan involved purchasing some items they could afford and walking off with those they could not. Salas stated that defendants drove to Kmart between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM, and upon arrival, split up, collected items, and placed them in a single shopping cart. Salas stated that, while she was located at Little Caesars, she received a text message from Calvo indicating that she and Tuwun were being questioned. Salas also provided a written statement corroborating her statements to Officers,” court documents state.
A Guam Assistant Attorney General wrote in court documents that the total value of the items stolen was $536.82.
