SBA One-Stop Business Permitting Center reopens Wednesday, July 15
SBA is pleased to announce that the One-Stop Business Permitting Center (Business Recovery Center) will reopen on Wednesday, July 15, at 8:00 a.m., following a temporary closure due to Typhoon Bavi.
The Business Recovery Center will continue providing assistance to survivors impacted by Super Typhoon Sinlaku. SBA customer service representatives are available to answer questions, explain available disaster loan programs, and assist homeowners, renters, businesses, and private nonprofit organizations with completing disaster loan applications.
At this time, SBA is accepting disaster loan applications and providing assistance only for losses resulting from Super Typhoon Sinlaku. Although the CNMI recently experienced Typhoon Bavi, a federal disaster declaration has not been made for that event, and SBA cannot accept applications for Bavi-related damages unless and until a declaration is approved.
SBA Disaster Assistance Update
To date, SBA has approved:
$41,623,600 in disaster loan approvals.
$9,011,100 has been disbursed to eligible survivors and businesses, providing critical financial assistance as recovery efforts continue across the CNMI.
Survivors who have not yet applied are encouraged to visit the One-Stop Business Permitting Center, Dept. of Commerce beginning Wednesday, July 15, at 8:00 a.m. to receive one-on-one assistance with the disaster loan application process. Hour of operation will continue Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (PR)
