SWEEP debris removal assistance for Saipan residents

Following Super Typhoon Sinlaku, the CNMI Department of Public Works (DPW), in partnership with FEMA and in coordination with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ ongoing debris removal operations, is providing debris removal assistance through the Saipan-wide Environmental Enhancement Program (SWEEP) for residents who need special support.

You may qualify if you are:

Elderly

Sick or medically vulnerable

Unable to safely move debris from your property to the curbside

How to Apply:

Step 1: Call the DPW Solid Waste Office at (670) 235-9570

Step 2: Provide your:

* Full name

* Contact number

* Location

* Description of debris

Step 3: Prepare for a DPW visit

* Allow DPW staff to enter your private property

* If needed, guide staff to the debris on your property

Important Safety Note:

DPW staff will not climb buildings or trees to retrieve debris, enter buildings to retrieve debris, or access areas behind buildings. Each request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
