Twinkle Kids Land and Café put up for sale as business slows
Twinkle Kids Land and Café owner Peter Zhang has confirmed that the indoor kids’ playground is up for sale, citing a slowdown in customer traffic and the time-intensive demands of running the business.
Zhang said the business remains open and operational, stressing that the decision to sell does not mean the facility is closing.
“It's still making money, but it's not worth our taking a lot of time to take care of this business.”
He said four to five potential buyers have already expressed interest, though no sale has been finalized.
Zhang noted that the indoor kids’ playground performed strongly in previous years, particularly when it first opened as the largest facility of its kind on Saipan. Business, however, began slowing last year and has continued to decline.
“Everybody is not making money now because plenty of shops are closed, even some restaurants,” he said, adding that some children who previously frequented the playground have since grown older and moved on to other attractions.
He also pointed to broader economic challenges, including business closures and continued outmigration to China and the Philippines, as factors affecting customer turnout.
The three-unit indoor facility includes play structures such as slides, jungle gym equipment, a bubble-style play pool, a mini gift shop, and a small café area. Zhang said all equipment and machines are included in the sale and described the asking price as affordable.
He added that a new owner could expand food service and operate the space as a combined indoor playground and restaurant.
“Our price is already very, very cheap. If you want to do a business, your own business, and you can upgrade like our food, because our food [area] is very small. You can like be a restaurant and a playground [altogether].”
