Typhoon Support Logistics Center welcomes Hawai'i donations
A banner reading “Aloha4CNMI” welcomed volunteers at the Typhoon Support Logistics Center on Saipan as the first container of donations from the continental U.S. arrived yesterday. The shipment marks the sixth container of donations to reach the CNMI following the devastation caused by Super Typhoon Sinlaku. Donations were collected in Hawai'i by the Northern Marianas Club and many other supporting volunteers and organizations.
MP’s Thomas Manglona II and Sofia Del Rosario were on scene as volunteers opened the container and began sorting supplies for direct distribution to communities still recovering from the storm. The donated items are expected to support families across the islands who continue to face ongoing challenges in the aftermath of the typhoon.
