United suspends flights between Narita and Saipan from May 7 to July 10

United Airlines has confirmed to Marianas Press that services between Saipan (SPN) and Tokyo Narita (NRT) will be suspended from May 7 through July 10.
United Corporate Communications sent the following statement to Marianas Press: “We are closely monitoring a challenging environment in Saipan and have adjusted our operations to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. We have also implemented a travel waiver to offer customers the flexibility to manage their travel plans. Customers should use the United app or visit united.com to check their flight status and view the latest information.”
Marianas Press also learned that services between Saipan (SPN) and Guam (GUM) are operating on a reduced schedule, limited to daytime-only flights.
Customers with impacted flights can request a refund at united.com/mytrips or contact them at 1-800-825 9925 to discuss possible alternatives. MP also learned that Guam and Saipan resident humanitarian fares are available at united.com
United has also contributed to Sinlaku relief efforts, carrying hundreds of emergency responders along with essential supplies. They have also launched a Miles on a Mission campaign to support ongoing recovery efforts. Through May 31, 2026, United will match donations up to $75,000, helping extend the reach of nonprofit partners working across Micronesia.
